El Jaguar Preserve is located in the Isabelia Mountain Range, Nicaraguan finest coffee growing area, in the northern province of Jinotega, 188 km north of Managua.

The farm is 1350 meters (4500 feet) above sea level in a tropical cloud forest; therefore it enjoys a delicious and refreshing mountain climate.
You can get to El Jaguar by car or by bus. We also offer transfers from/to Jinotega and Managua or other places.

How to get to El Jaguar by car from Jinotega City:

El Jaguar Preserve is located 28 km north from Jinotega.  To get by car just follow the instructions in the ROAD MAP TO EL JAGUAR.  A 4 wheel drive car is suggested during rainy season (June-December).

How to get to El Jaguar by bus from Jinotega City

If you go from Managua to Jinotega City by bus you arrive to the South Bus Station (COTRAN SUR), from there you have to go to the North Bus Station (COTRAN NORTE). If you don’t know the town the best way to do it is by taxi. If you have time and like to walk ask people how to get to the market and “la COTRAN Norte”, they will try to help you. It is about a 15 minutes walk.

From COTRAN Norte you have to catch a bus to Santa Fe – La Reforma and La Providencia. The drive by bus to El Jaguar takes about one and a half hour.
